Researchers from technical team of the Aina Project are participating in the Barcelona Deep Learning Symposium 2024 to present the latest speech technologies. Among the researchers present at the event, Marc Casals , Federico Costa , Daniel Tamayo and Àlex Peiró , presented new techniques used in the framework of the research carried out in the Aina Project, promoted by the Generalitat de Catalunya and developed by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center – Centro Nacional de Supercomputación.

Federico Costa, Marc Casals and Àlex Peiró, researchers from the Aina Project present the developments at the Deep Learning Barcelona Symposium 2024

The aim of the research is to optimize processes, innovate and develop cutting-edge technologies in the speech field. In fact, some of the technological techniques and strategies developed have been recognized as pioneers in conferences such as IberLEF, at the SEPLN 2024 conference. Among the posters presented are the presentation of an innovative method to improve performance results in models with the fewest possible changes , a new approach for speech emotion recognition systems as well as the use of pre-trained speech and text models based on the Attention Pooling mechanism .
