From November 7 to 9, Fira de Barcelona hosted a new edition of the Smart City Expo congress, the world’s largest event on cities and innovation. And the Aina project was present through the stand of the Generalitat.
In a very dynamic and interactive presentation, the project developed at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) and the models developed in language technologies were introduced, including Âguila7b , the new open source LLM for Catalan and Spanish.
It should be remembered that Aina aims to develop AI resources and language technologies (TL) in order to provide Catalan with the necessary infrastructure to develop applications based on AI and TL . And along these lines, the aim is to guarantee the inclusion of Catalan in this type of application, in addition to creating a profitable and attractive service for companies in the sector.
Thus, during the congress, the companies and administrations present were able to learn what Aina is and how it can be a useful tool for them in the future . The congress brought together the leading companies in the innovation sector, as well as governments and organizations, in order to move cities towards a more innovative future.
